5V5 U8 PRE-SELECT ACADEMY
Mission
We are excited to offer a program that will provide recreational players the opportunity to experience training sessions and games in a competitive environment to assist family’s in determining if they are ready to transition to a competitive environment. Training sessions will be one night a week and provided by a licensed trainer.
Vision
To provide a informative clear picture of what training,
cost, and travel will look like at the select level as we
prepare them for the next step in their soccer journey.
Training
• Players will continue to play and train with their recreational teams
• Players in the program will play in two tournaments• Players will be given a “game” jersey
• Training sessions will focus on fundamental skills and training habits.
• The teams established will be registered to play in (2) Tournament events to give players an opportunity to show what they have learned and give families a chance to evaluate if select play is a good fit in their young players soccer journey.
Format & Events
•After recreational teams are established tryouts will be conducted to select players for the Pre-Select Program.
>Selection will be based on players physical attributes, mental maturity, technical & tactical awareness.
>Training will be Developmentally appropriate for the age group in a 5v5 & 7v7 playing format.
>Tournaments and brackets selected
will be based on players progression with the intent to challenge them to rise to the next level of play.
>Tryouts schedule anounced the first week of January and scheduled for mid February to give players in the age group an opportunity to take advantage of this unique new program.
Cost
• $249.00 which will include recreational season fees, Pre- select Academy Training, cost of (2) two scheduled 7v7 events and (2) Preselect Academy Game Jerseys.
➢ Pricing is based on a minimum roster number of 10 players per team rostered
